In the digital era, the demand for objective and transparent information systems has become increasingly essential, including in the selection of outstanding foster children in orphanages. The assessment process, which is commonly carried out manually, often tends to be subjective, poorly documented, and potentially unfair. This research aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) to determine outstanding foster children at Eben Heazer Orphanage by applying the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. SAW is chosen due to its ability to process multiple evaluation criteria by assigning weights that reflect the importance level of each aspect. The evaluation criteria include academic achievement, discipline, social activities, and active participation in religious activities, which serve as the foundation of the orphanage’s child development program. The developed system is designed to produce structured, objective, and transparent evaluations, thus assisting orphanage administrators in making fairer and more accountable decisions. The results of this study are expected to improve accuracy, fairness, and efficiency in assessing outstanding foster children, while also supporting the orphanage’s mission of nurturing them to become intelligent, independent, and virtuous individuals
