Implementasi Sistem Informasi Tracer Study Pada Sekolah SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of a web-based tracer study information system at SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan. A tracer study is a method used to track graduates in order to evaluate the quality of education, the relevance of the curriculum, and the success of graduates in pursuing further education or entering the workforce. The main problem faced by the school is that alumni data management is still carried out manually, resulting in inefficiency and a high risk of data loss.The system was developed using the Waterfall method, which includes requirements analysis, system design using Unified Modeling Language (UML), implementation using PHP and MySQL, and testing with blackbox testing. The developed system includes user login, questionnaire filling, alumni data management, and automatic tracer study report generation.The implementation results show that this system improves the efficiency of alumni data management, reduces recording errors, and facilitates communication between the school and alumni. Moreover, the system supports the school in evaluating graduates and making data-driven decisions.
